Cheap tent needed - son going to pop festival
Apparently tents have a hard life at pop festivals so it may not survive the
weekend.
Any ideas please?

Tesco have a range of cheapie tents - pretty good quality for 1 or 2
seasons. IIRC, a 1 man tent with bag was less than 20 quid.

Buy as cheap as possible, torch it as you leave the festival :)

2 person tent, 7.99. Even with 7 postage, that seems good to me!

There's no reason why it shouldn't last, might get a bit muddy so sling it
in the washing machine when its home.

Really you need one with a flysheet, cheap summer tents don't have them and
WILL leak in anything but light showers - think of the recent glastonbury
downpour- unprecedented rain with no warning, the last thing you need at a
wet festival is a tent that leaks and sleeping on a wet sleeping bag and
having all your dry kit soaked in the rucksack is a real downer. Wet
festies are survivable but a half decent tent makes all the difference.
