Two-year-old child climbed Scafell
Hello.
Today I read in our Newspaper (Germany) a family with a two year old
child climbed the Scafell and the child walked all the way. It was the
last page column "Curiosities". I can't see the curiosity but does
anybody know which way this family took and where they started?

Good point. Might have been they jumped out of a plane and started at
Sprnkling Tarn and made a detour over Great Gable.

My guilty conscience forces me to ask if you are the guy who moved there
with your Mam. So sorry I can't remember. You'll have to remind me of, oh,
were you the one with the window in the door where your dog sat watching you
in the pub across the road?
Edith likes dogs.

Alas no Edith, my old mum died in 1982 long before I moved to
Eskdale.

Tell us about Eskdale, Smolley. Brush up my memory please. What I remember
about Eskdale are the Sundews in the grass along the Roman wall and t'la'al
Ratty.
Edith.

Re: Two-year-old child climbed Scafell
The Japanese garden has had bit of a face lift,
originally constructed in the 1930s it had become
overgrown.
St Catherine's pool is still used by the youngsters
for swimming and diving.
The Ratty has been very popular this year, I hear the
steam engines most days.
