a devil (or devils) is a post-Captivity adoption by Judaism of a

I am certainly thoroughly damned - I have my own mini home-brewery in
my garden shed producing real ale at 20p per pint, which tastes quite
as good as any commercial beer. I brew "properly" using all grain in a
mini-mash tun and even start by milling my own grain - as my wife
says, every man should have a hobby and it keeps me out of the pub!!!

Ironically I call my brewery "Apocalypse Brewery", brewing "Armageddon
Ales" and I usually brew four standard recipes which I have named
"Death"; "War"; "Pestilence" and "Mild" - I couldn't remember who the
fourth one was and nobody likes mild!!!!  8^)

I only hope that there is a decent homebrew shop in Hell when I get
there.

Ooh, I like that. Famine Mild would be a good name for an ale that's 
light in fermentables.

I take it Death is your old ale, War your strong and Pestilence your 
ordinary.

across the river in Hull. Not impressed.

On the other hand, I _was_ much impressed with Tonie Prins' ales at 
HopDaemon in Canterbury (mostly named after demons).
