petrol brushcutter
Has anyone recommendations as to which brushcutter or strimmer to buy as a
replacement to my very ancient Stihl 35cc model. Are Stihl still the best?

Yes Stihl are the best! I know cause i work on them for a living..
The one to get is eather FS55 for a home user about ($200.00)or a
FS110 for a pro about ($400.00).
and be sure to check out the KM - combi Machine.

But be sure to buy it from your local dealer because if you purchase it
online there is no warranty.. Sthil ONLY sells thru its dealers. and
dealers are not to sell online..

Just rember Sthil's last along time so get what fits your needs even
if it is a little more.

You want a Honda 35cc four stroke machine. Far better and cheaper, plus for
domestic use it has a 5 year warranty.

Thanks. I've decided to go for the Honda which I got for a very good price
from my local dealer. It works brilliantly and has the 5 year guarantee as
a bonus.

350 for the 35cc UMK 435 UE, including big handles, harness, tooth blade,
goggles and other bits and pieces. He also demonstrated it to me.
I found one on Amazon for 349 with the standard D handles so I thought I
did quite well, particularly since the dealer is here at this village!
Useful for the servicing etc.
I expect you're now going to tell me that I could have got it cheaper! But
I'm happy and it works brilliantly. Nice and quiet too.
