I just wondered, are these portable media player things actually any good?

I'd particularly be after one like the above, that would play divx - either 
from a hard drive or a cd-r/dvd-r.

I'm really interested in these little gadgets but wonder about the quality 
of them - plus also watching a screen that small - good idea? It'd be handy 
for my lunchtimes at work, lol!

My dad nearly got one of those Archeos (sp) ones off BidUp.tv, but the 
channel disappeared the day after! :-P
