Pricematch for web prices in dixons & currys
Anyone know what the policy is for these stores to pricematch web
prices from their own sites?

What reply did you get when you asked either online or in the stores?

It also really annoys them as I have done that to PC World. got a full
rundown and demo then asked why it was cheaper on the website! After saying
I would have bought the rip-off extended warranty etc I said "no thanks,
I'll go home and order one". The staff at my local PC World are furious at
people doing this as they said their own company is putting the shops out of
business.

PC World have rectified this and allow you to reserve on line and go to
the store to collect. It even stock checks at the store.
The way forward I think.
But Dixons and Currys have yet to use this approach.

Currys stores will price match their own website only, excluding
products that aren't availble in store.
Products must be in stock on their web site and obviously in the store
you visit.
If they fail to honour this contact Head Office. Most of Currys staff
are either unaware at the recent policy change or are trying to
protect their commission payments by telling customers they do not
price match.
