24volt bulb
My Dad has one of these electric buggies for zooming around mowing down innocent pedestrians.
The 'headlight' bulb has gone on it. It is 24v (forget the wattage off hand). The buggy supplier say H**fords sell 'em....but of course they don't.
Unfortunately it is also jammed in its socket, so it crumbled away when I tried to extract it.
However it would appear to be one of these bulbs that is all glass, with no metal cap, and two bare wires folded up each side of the base, so it is a push fit into its socket.
Does anyone know where I might buy a replacement ? (I live in Sutton - Sth London)
Many thanks
Jeff

Yes I will go back to them if I have to.
My Dad rang them and got the H**fords answer. He pointed out that the machine was delivered with a blown bulb. You would of thought that having just spent 3,000+ with them they would have said "No problem, Sir, we'll put a couple in the post to you." But no, it would seem they have his three grand so are no longer bothered.
So I don't feel inclined to deal with them. If I remember their name I shall advertise them on hear for everyone to know about! However I may go back as a last resort.

The local Ford dealer will often have plenty of 24V blubs if they do trucks.

the only other thing that went wrong in the 15 months i was driving it was
that the horn stopped working
it may have been due to me useing it to clout a lump of post in the ground
but other than that, nothing else to complain about, even the alternator was
fixed under warranty :)

Look in your yellow pages for a Motor Factors or Autospares Service or Auto
Electricains. You will get what you want from them.
It would help if you could say waht make and model of scooter your Dad has.
If all else fails, try this :- Clarke & Partners, Shefffield. 0114 273 8787
or 0114 231 5566 or 0114 229 3350
they have changed their numbers and premises since I last spoke to them. Ask
for scooter stores
