Realale Pub Accommodation in Cornwall
Can anyone suggest any good pubs in Cornwall with Accommodation.
Looking to get away for a 3/4 day break.
A lovley pub in a quiet seaside village would be excellent. Real ale a
bonus.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks
Tim

Way way down in Cornwall, just before Land's End, on the Atlantic side,
a village called Sennen Cove?? The pub might have been Old Success. They
had some nice ales a year or so ago, Sharp's as I reemember, well kept,
with good pub food. I believe they also do rooms, but there are some
great B&Bs within easy walking distance.

The best pub in Cornwall IMHO is the Blisland Inn in the village of the same
name. Whilst the pub itself doesn't do accomodation, Torr House a twenty
minute walk up the road does and is a fantastic place to stay.

The coast is a short drive.

Polperro is a lovely little village on the coast
The Crumplehorn has good beer and accommodation, and the Blue Peter pub is
a short walk for more beer, also cider. try these:

Re: Realale Pub Accommodation in Cornwall
Just got back from holiday.
We stopped one night at the Sloop Inn at Bantham, which is a small
village with a beach that caters for surfers.
The accommodation is reasonable for the cost (37.50 each B&B). The
food is very good and reasonably priced, as is the beer (they had
their own "Sloop Ale" brewed by Sharps which was very nice indeed).
It was well worth a visit and I hope to return again before too long.
More details at http://www.sloopatbantham.co.uk/
Cheers! FT

I just returned from 12 days in England. We spent 6 in North Cornwall
at the Trewarmett Inn (GBG 2005 & Room at the Inn). 25 pounds per
person per night including bed and breakfast. Very friendly family runs
the place. 4 changing real ales and a real cider. Food was quite good.
Folk music on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
My only complaint was that the bed wasn't that comfortable (especially
compared the bed I had at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel when I was in
London for the GBBF last week). However, I got the Park Lane room for
free with American Express points.

Portreath, north coast near Truro has 3 excellent pubs, I've a feeling 2 are
in the GBG - but I don't have one to hand. I stayed with my cousin, so not
sure if they have rooms, but it strikes me that one of them has a distinctly
hotel like feel to it.
