Concrete floor and laying 8mm radiator pipes?
We are hoping to move the sitting room radiator to another wall but this
would require the pipes to be laid in the floor which is concrete. Is this
possible? Would the concrete react with the copper pipes? Is there
something that you would use to protect the pipes?

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Smudge,

It is possible.

If the pipes are copper and laid into the concrete floor unprotected, there
will be a reaction that will cause the copper to leak after a while.

If you go ahead and lay the copper, it MUST be protected by a plastic sleeve
or sheath (including any joints) wherever the pipe comes into contact with
the concrete (you can buy sleeved copper pipe for this purpose).

You could possibly use plastic pipes laid into the concrete instead.
