Re: European breakdown cover.
Tried your insurance company? I'm off to france in a couple of weeks
and had my breakdown cover extended to cover europe for only £10. The
cover lasts untill renewal (November)

Many thanks for your reply.

I did ask and they don't offer any such cover. The UK breakdown cover is
through the RAC but when I phoned them they can offer me European breakdown
cover for 10 days for 70 which includes a massive surcharge for being over
10 years old.

Hence the question. Are there any other companies which offer cover?

They don't insure vans or minibuses. I have a van with 8 seats in it though
only going abroad with 5 people. It's also over 10 years old!

Direct line do at an affordable price. I find it surprising that I can put
in a vehicle registration number and it tells me what the vehicle is!
