General thrust.

"COMMUTERS are preparing themselves for travel chaos, after the
Forth Bridge began an eight-day shutdown yesterday to allow
essential maintenance work."

"First ScotRail has reorganised 60 per cent of its services, mostly
in the Fife area. Passengers travelling between Edinburgh and
Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness will also be affected, along with
those using the Caledonian Sleeper services to London."

"Controllers at the Forth Road Bridge reported no extra traffic
using the crossing yesterday. Neil Greig, the head of policy at AA
Scotland, said the situation is likely change as the week
progresses. "There will be a lot more traffic and congestion with
more buses and people moving from trains to cars."
