I have a 1993 Peugeot 205 Diesel 1769cc.

Can anyone tell me where to find, and how to get to the reversing light
switch.

There is a connector for the reversing switch on the top of the gearbox 
as you look into the engine bay.  I think its up and left a bit of the 
clutch actuating arm.  Usually its white with a brown sort of connector 
plugged into it.  Taking the air filter out (and possibly the battery if 
you're feeling energetic) will probably give you a better view of the area.

The reversing switch and the earth strap are the only 2 electrical 
connections to the gearbox on a 205 IIRC so it shouldnt be that 
difficult to find.
