Hither Green Report now online   
The report into the Hither Green rail fracture and subsequent
derailment, which killed 49,  is now online at
http://www.railwaysarchive.co.uk/docSummary.php?docID=99. Many thanks
are due to Wobbly Bob for supplying the scans in such a prompt manner.

Thanks for that link - I lived in Lewisham at the time and remember the 
event very well.
Anyone else notice - slow lines reopened 7/11/67 and fast lines (with speed 
limit) 8/11/67 i.e. 48 and 72 hours after this major accident? It didn't 
seem to prevent them making an accurate assessment of what happened!!

Careful pointing out such facts. One of the trolls will distort what
you said and then make attacks on their straw man.

ISTM that the process after Hither Green found out more and did so
more rapidly than that after Hatfield, which is still ongoing.
