Computers
My sodden computer is acting up today same as yesterday. Orly says it's the
signal. I wonder.
Edith.
19C-no sunshine today. Quiet and lovely, tho.

Average of 12C (Min 10C, Max 16C) intermittent hill fog, drizzle and
occasional rain. Heating back on for an hour this evening, little
different to last week in the upper 20'sC and blazing sunshine.

That sounds so nice. Yesterday here outdoors was like an unventilated
shower room.

Oh what a wonderfully evocative description! Why don't they use language
like that on weather forecasts?

I didn't mention the wind, not particulary strong only 10mph (F4 to
F4) but from the WNW so quite cool. Enough such that being outside for
longer than 15mins really required more than just a T shirt and
fleece. The cold rain doesn't help either.

I always remember the odd looks I was getting as I giggled my way
across a car park in Florida after comming *out* of a supemarket and
having my glasses mist up. B-)

Yup! Funny, isn't it. I've got used to the fogging up sunglasses and
ordinary glasses. I find that contanct lenses suit me better these days.
I quite often stop at my local supermarket around 7am, on my way back
from the station amd see the condensation blotting out the windows. You
have to take a fleecy jacket into the supermaarket, especially the dairy
section!

Yergh, all that proding of the eyeball. No thanks, sisters have had
'em in the past much too much hassle and contacts don't keep the cold
wind, dust and other mucj out of your eyes...

Think of all that wasted energy. OK dairy and to some extent other
fresh produce has to be kept cool but you don't have to cool the
entire area only where the products actually are. Of course they ought
to redesign the standard upright chilled display unit to contain the
cool air better, but doors or vertical strips will obscure the
product.

Thank goodness. When I see what extreme weather can do to people around the
globe I like to know that my friends are safe.
