Maybe you are right, but it is well worth its money, but will drop below the
7k.

The mag spiel was recently added, maybe I will ditch it..

Thanks.

You asked about this a while ago, and the general feeling was that you
were asking dealer money for a private sale.

Drop it to 6.5k and accept 6k.

You'd almost certainly get a dealer car for 7k with a bit of
negotiation.

No phone calls? Price is wrong. You are asking dealer money for a
private sale.
Try advertising it for 6000 in the local papers or an www.autotrader.co.uk

It's French, and it's overpriced.

For that kinda money you can easily buy a better car. If you want it to
shift put it on ebay starting at 1 with no reserve and let the buyers
decide the final price - chances are it will be around 6k ish.
Look at finished items to see what similar cars have sold for.

I have looked everywhere and similar on ebay are going for over 7k.

I did do a ebay run with a reserve of 6800, it went to 6600
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4556205521&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEUS%3AIT&rd=1

Note, I have had a full valet and the fog light replaced since..

I think I may be asking too much, but others are selling at this price and I
think it is well worth its money.

Thanks for the advice.

There's also the mileage:

"Only 12750K Miles"

That's over 12 million miles. Congratulations for making a French car last
so long :-)

> I'd also miss the 'magazine speil'.....sounds kak!

Indeed. People wanting to buy one of them will have already decided that
they want one. They just want the facts - service history, condition, etc
etc.

Low miles is all well and good, but on a 4 year old car that means it's
almost certainly due a cambelt change. And does "full service history"
mean it's been serviced annually, or once at 10,000 miles and that's it??

Lose the rediculous sales hype. If you must have something like that put a
link to a review somewhere.

But are they actually selling, or just asking that sort of money?

On the face of it it sounds like a hell of a lot of money for a 4-year old
Peugeot 306, but looking at AutoTrader it doesn't look *too* far off the
mark - not many with low miles below 7k. But at the end of the day there
are loads for sale, so the only way to sell it easily will be to make your
price more attractive. Simple as that.

I had a look and saw people /asking/ 7k for 'em, but they didn't seem to
be selling well at that price.

It's not what you think it's worth but the buyer.
for a private sale expect between trade and good price after all your not
offering warranty etc.....

Ok, I think I will have a site revamp..

Just a quick question, I know to make sure I received either cash or a
confirmed bankers draft.

But I have a main Peugeot dealer getting back to me soon to purchase, so..
Do I accept a normal cheque of a main Peugeot dealer with no problems.

They have been around for many many years??
