Mondeo
Quite a long one this but i'll try my best.
Had our mondeo now 8mths,94 1.8 petrol, had a clutch fitted 3mths ago along
with the rear engine mount,
Now i have two problems regarding the clutch,
1,when i apply a few revs i get a vibration through the car(only when i have
the clutch pressed)
2,sometimes when letting the clutch out it judders as if theres a engine
mount gone.

I suspect flywheel is knackered but like i said it doesnt do it everytime
just now and again,
Taken it back but guess what it doesnt do it.
Fitted new clutch cable as a shot in the wind but no differance,
Any ideas on a solution as otherwise gearbox has to come out and subframe
etc.

Many Thanks

At a guess they haven't bothered to properly align the subframe, as this is
what makes it an expensive job. Am I right in thinking you went to someone
who quoted you the cheapest price for the job? Nothing wrong with this in
theory, but on complex PITA jobs like that, the ones doing it cheaper are
more often than not the ones who don't do the job properly.

middle, car doesn't pull or have tyre wear which i thought were the common
tell-tale signs,
So from what your'e saying then would the sub-frame being miss-aligned cause
these problems?

I would check the bell housing bolts, it's fairly common for them to come
loose and give the vibration you are refering too, have someone press the
clutch (Engine off) and look at where the gearbox joins the engine, see if
there is any movement between the box and the engine.
