Hi, Kezzi. Just dropping by to say "Hi" since I felt bad for you having
to reply to yourself.

Nice to see that you've figured out what was wrong.

Ooh, tell me about it.... I got a nice shiny new computer which half the
time won't communicate with my printer. I've got the latest version of
certain programs which crash much more frequently than the old versions did.
I've got..... no, it's boring...

I do have something that works lightning fast, though, with a huge hard disk
and a top class soundcard, and a 2 meg broadband connection, so I guess it's
worth putting up with the glitches, which I'll probably fix eventually.

It's not just that my PC here at my desk is giving me a hard
time due to 'upgrades' I made, but I have to buy two new PC's
this week to replace two old ones, which means days of loading
software and updating software and making everything work again.
In theory it should be blazingly fast in future to do the things
we do but there seems to be no escaping the hours of tinkering
and frustration.

Is there a new modern ailment known as computer-depression-
syndrome? I think I may have it.

Johnny

Eh-oh Jp

how's everything? You well?

Right, that's enough fooltommery for one night. Beggar all on the TV you
see. Tomorrow will be a quiet night you'll be pleased to know, though I
canny vouch for the quiet spells during the day time. Tied up in a business
meeting in the afternoon but not much on before that apart from 'doing' the
books.......

Night all. . . . xx

Well, I'm OK, thanks. Young master Pinny has busted his ankle, a medial
malleolus fracture, just weeks before leaving for a training academy and
friendly tournament in the Netherlands, Holland and Belgium. He's one of
the captains, too. He's going along for the ride, anyway.

Congratulations on the imminent grandchild, by the way.

SWMBO called me from Colorado a couple of weeks ago and announced she had
broken her foot after falling in the snow. I quizzed her and she said she
could still walk and stand so I diagnosed it as a sprain. A couple of days
after she got back she went off to the doctor then called me to announce
that she indeed had a broken foot. Being the supreme optimist I told her to
look on the bright side now she can park in the handicapped spots.

I just had a candle light dinner of pate on Carr's table water biscuits. A
situation brought about by a nasty thunderstorm knocking out the power
supply for three hours. In June 2001 we had 19+ inches of rain, in 2004 we
had about the same, this year we had less than 0.1" between the end of May
and three hours ago. The bayou now has about ten feet of water in it.

Al by candlelight

Al the phone doctor.

Ten foot of water isn't much, Al. Is your house boat still floating? You
won't be able to put your nets out in only ten foot of water. It'll be
biscuits and pate forever.

Godd luck to the Missi. Hope her foot heals quickly.

she went to get her parking pass today and was two minutes late, they'd
closed. So she went and had a steak and lobster as a consolation.
