I was seeing off a friend on the 8.55 train from St Pancras to
Nottingahm tonight. It was very oddly formed - it had two areas of
First Class between the buffet! Does anyone know why?

for Leeds. The 08:42 Voyager to Edinburgh via Leeds (08:03 from New
Street) arrived on time but departed some 15 mins late, due to a broken

fares'. As a follow up:
In the early 70s I remember that the daily rates for season tickets were
as cheap as 'Cheap Day Returns'

Just been on Radio 2 that one journey on the Royal Train for Prince
Charles cost 45,000. Think the journey was Aberdeen to Plymouth.
How can the journey cost that much????? ...

titles elude me, but they were companion books, one about rail, one
about aircraft. In size, the would have been about 9" x 6" ...

Whilst waiting in the station car park to be picked up today at 1335,
something went through the station.
I aint sure if it was a kettle, but the exhaust was very quiet, it also
had perhaps 8 or Mk1/2s on the back.
Any ideas ...
