Midlands RUS, and the news in the last but one Modern Railways that the DfT
is advertising for a Closures Manager, everyone's fears or prophecies about
stations ...

I thought the idea behind the Cambrian Coast line was to run at absolute
minimum service. So RETB to eliminate signalling staff, lots of request
stops, ticket sales on the train instead of at the station, and so on.

Poppy Line at Sheringham was interesting as the City of Truro was the
guest train and she does about 5 trips about and down the rather

Yesterday - despite the mad mullahs - I went to London to ride the last
RMs on Routes 14 and 22. Great atmosphere and London was buzzing
despite the outrages. Just a shame that there are only three routes
left now.
