Why are there so many seat squabs and backs littered along the side of the
line between Leatherhead and Cheam. There don't seem to be any south of

Stayed at the new Jurys Hotel near Croke Park in Dublin. There was a
twin track railway with rusty rails and a buffer stop in the middle of
a straight piece of track. Why would they leave an apparently newly
laid line in a state of disuse?
