could run one from my house but the garage is on the other side of the lane
and I'd have to dig up the road to put one across to my garage!

We bought our house 6 months ago and it has laminate flooring in one
room. It seems ok except.... it does not reach to the edge of the room
and stops short of the skirting boards. I can cover most of this with
a bit of beading ...

Are there any general-purpose gloves that do the same
job as leather ones, but that are not leather? I.e keep your
hands safe during DIY and garden work?

I'm just about to have some (wooden) double glazing installed and the installer has advised me that trickle/night vents aren't really necessary and that the windows can be left slightly and securely open to have the same effect ...
