I've had a couple of goes at doing this with the same failed result.
Just trying to base coat plaster patch over some chased in channeling.
When going back to it in the morning it has all just shriveled up and

I'm about to ceramic tile my hallway floor which is covered with 12" square
vinyl tiles at the moment. These are well stuck to the concrete underneath
with some sort of black adhesive. Can I tile directly on top of the old
