following the removal of some woodchip i have revealed a 1" wide by 10" long
full depth break in the old 100yr+ plaster.
it goes back to the brickwork. either side seems solid so i am wanting to
just fill and sand it ...

Any thoughts on the pros and cons of 'mix your own' over ready mixed (or
vice versa). I have always mixed my own but I am now thinking of changing

Please don't all run away at the mention of woodchip.
Ok i have 1 room with a woodchip ceiling. without taking it down (100+ old
house so most of the ceiling is likely to follow). is there a cosmetic way
to cover it up.
