One of my TRVs has started making a tapping/banging sound. I removed the
thermostat part and checked the pin on the valve. It moves OK on pressing

I'm trying to drain the hot water in order to fit some new taps.
I've turned off the feed to the hot water cylinder (this comes in to the
bottom of the cylinder from the storage tank in the attic ...

I have a some large air bubbles along a seam of a ceiling wallpaper,
the paper is very thick and embossed.
My thinking is that if I prise the paper away and slip in some thin
adhesive
