am looking to using laminate flooring for lounge as opposed to carpet. can
anyone give any hints and tips of what types etc to look for that would be
hard wearing etc, etc, etc.

We have 2 60watt bulbs in our bathroom and the switch is a pull cord.
The bathroom only has a bath/sink etc (no shower). An the door is
always wide open. It never gets steamy in the room either.

Just bought a Valor Black Beauty Slimline gas fire the pipe supplied with
the fire has a flat piece in the middle of it, I blew through it and air
comes out slowly so it isnt blocked, looks like the flat piece has been

Homebase Teak garden table - splinters

We had a teak garden table delivered at the weekend. 2 days later and
after an afternoon of rain, the table has small splinters and has gone
slightly rough.
It is my understanding that Teak was not meant to splinter ?

Just got my Screwfix mains halogen showerlight, and the 'destructions' tell
me that a wood ceiling is not suitable. (Curses!) So what is - ordinary
plasterboard? And just how hot do these things get?
