Just taken a look in the boot.
I came accross the thick rubber washer, i looked down the hole and the metal
rod looks the same as the other, apart from having no nut on, although i
couldnt get a great look i could make out ...

Tried about 8 places, like Fensport and CCS. All say they cant get anyhing
for a 77 Celica GT.
I took a look, and i actually have Koni on the front and Spax on the rear, i
know that the chassis and susp never really changed ...

I am thinking that I basically paint and lacquer my spot repair and
then go over the top of this to "melt" the edge of the lacquer where
new meets old to blend ...
