The ol' SD1 refused to start one day when out and hot. Wouldn't turn over
- although the battery was ok. Sticking starter solenoid, I'd guess. RAC
man got it started by connecting the car battery and his slave one in
*series* ...

1.9 TD Xantia 1996 ish. What's happening is that if I accelerate gently all
is OK, if I put my foot down (not necessarily very hard) the car splutters
like it's flooding until the revs reach 3k and black smoke issues forth ...

Our Son has a G Reg 1.7 Turbo 440, which has just lost its 5th gear, is it a
DIY job to fit another gearbox and if so what would be an approx time to do
it in.

Last night I went to a friend's house about 20 miles away when I got there I
noticed that the headlamps didn't seem as bright as normal.

Hi, the front windscreen wiper on 306 only operates on 1 setting, all other
setting is inoperative. Peugeot garage suggested to change the wiper motor
