Thanks for the advice re the squeaking brakes on the Ford Ka, greased the
points like you said, all sorted no more squeeks

As in an earlier post I need to remove my spark plugs and crank the
car to get rid of any possible water that got into the engine when
driving through a flood. Do I need to disconnect the system? This is
a carb engine, not ...

Just bought a second-hand (Sept '02) Mondeo, and the button which selects
Recirculated Air/ Outside Air doesn't illuminate, so I don't know which way
it is set (except by smell!).
I *could* take it back to the dealership ...

Do you need a special tool to removed standard 14mm spark plugs? Or
would a normal socket do it? Please explain I am new to this. I gather
the majority of cars use 14mm plugs and not 10 or 12 mm. Which cars
use 10 or 12? ...

Just replaced the rear passenger side door lock/motor as it had started
locking/unlocking only intermittently.
The new one works fine BUT doesn't seem to feature "double locking" ...
