and under the gear lever the switch were the lights to indicate wich gear
is selected is has come adrift and has dropped into the space below

When this fails, is the damage confined to the head and valves, or are the
pistons damaged as well? Why do I ask? My daughters car decided to snap
it's cambelt this afternoon. *******!

Astra Indicators - Stopped Self Cancelling

The indicators on my 6 year old Astra stopped self cancelling last week,
although the indicators themselves still work fine. Is this a sign of
imminent failure, and is it easy to cure?
