Being the nosy little bugger I am, I'd like to hook up the laptop to the ECU
in my 98 Escort (1.6 16v). eBay doesn't seem to yield much in terms of PC
based leads, just the crappy draper things.

Just put a set of 15" alloy wheels/tyres onto my car (195/50 profile)
rather than normal 13" steel wheels. The alloys/tyres had been stored for
about a month standing up which I assumed would not be a problem . . .but it

My cat heat shield rattles really horribly. I recrimped the edges (good old
mole grips!) but within a few days it started again.
The heat shield is also completely corroded away in the middle (like every
one I've ever seen ...

Hi -
The air conditioning on my Colt has given up and is no longer blowing cold
air. The light on the switch comes on, the blowers & heater work fine; it
just blows normal air rather than cold when the a/c is on.

Grease on wheel nuts???

My BigBrother was checking the brakes on my car and said that as the wheel
bolts/nuts were so manky that they should have a small amount of grease on
them. Is lubrication like this o.k. or will it help them to undo
themselves???

distributor (probably from a Healey 3000.
The problem I have is this :
