Day Trip to France

Hi,
I've booked a daytrip to France. Will be taking the car from Dover to
Calais. Just wanted to find out if there's any decent places to visit,
things to do near Calais as I've heard its pretty dead there apart from the
big shopping city.

Ferry routes - how to find what's available?

Over the past few years we've taken cars and/or bikes to the continent
quite frequently. Many useful ferry routes have now been discontinued,
in particular Felixstowe-Zeebrugge which would be brilliant for us as
we live only a few miles from Felixstowe.

What car/passenger ferries are still operating from Harwich nowadays?
I wanted to go to Hamburg but I see that DFDS have discontinued that
service. Are the only possibilities now Hook of Holland and Ejsberg?
Are there any RoRo ferries that will take an occasional car that go
out of Harwich? Or are there any ...
