Freedom passes unchecked
Fri, 28 Apr 2006 10:44:49 -0500
Is it illegal for busdrivers to question passengers' disability (or
apparent lack thereof) when fit young men get on and use their orange
Freedom Pass on London buses?
I am gobsmacked how I have never seen any of the young men challenged ONCE
over their card, which is blatantly in it's orange "Freedom Pass" ...

oap not allowed on bus with paint
Thu, 27 Apr 2006 09:04:32 GMT
Item on the bbc.
It says an oap was not allowed to travel on a bus because she was carrying a
tin of paint,
It also says the driver was correct, yet the bus company still sent the
passenger flowers and an apology

Wed, 19 Apr 2006 23:52:37 +0100
Watched this Dan Cruikshank series last night. A lot of shots from a
1926-ish film shot by F-G, which included quite a lot of public
transport sequences. Charabancs at Torquay and Cheddar Gorge, LT
open-top and open staircase buses, trams, etc.
I believe that it can be viewed on broadband at

At about 10am this morning, Saturday, this London lad, now living in
exile in the north east, had the shock of his life seeing a Routemaster

(on A67, presumably en route to A66)
Being in my car, driving in the opposite direction, I was unab ...

vunerable due to the low driving position and amount of glass and
fibreglass that surrounded me. To me there was what I saw as minimal
potection for the driver I dont think I would like to be in an accident
