windows on buses

In the not too distant past, there used to be sunroofs and windows on
the upper deck front windows.
Why don't modern buses have these? They provide fantastic ventilation ...

Has anyone in the West Midlands noticed that National Express have moved
the position of the route number on their digital blinds so the route
number is closest to the pavement rather than on the other side above
the driver?
