Petition to stop overcrowding on public transport
Sat, 19 Jul 2008 02:01:20 +0100
Public transport has always been awful; and over the past couple of years

Another convert to righteousness

"Once, getting a car felt like a massive surge in freedom, and

So it isn't just that cycling is cheaper, healthier, often quicker,
non-polluting, all that. It's joyful, too, in a way that has been
quite a surprise to me. No surp ...

32 SUVs disabled across Oxford.
Fri, 18 Jul 2008 06:49:48 -0700 (PDT)
Rough justice? A very small amount of harm to discourage a much bigger
amount?

destructive vehicles had been disabled.
Using the 'mung bean trick', whereby a mung bean is inserted into the
valve of a tyre before the cap is screwed back on, tyres ...

Gollum, once again, shoots himself in the foot by destroying his own
argument. He says "... if you cost your car use honestly, including
those charges when the car is standing idle and for repairs", and

Pilots ignore alerts over faulty planes.
Thu, 17 Jul 2008 23:04:40 -0700 (PDT)
So, a crash on London homes is perhaps more likely than previously
thought, especially with the introduction of a third runway at
Heathrow?
"Airlines across Europe are flying planes with known defects because
pilots routinely fail to report faults when they find them, an
investigation has revealed.

Oh joy! Is this an end to 'Getting away from it all' damaging
hypermobility?
"Ryanair has announced cuts to its schedule which could signal an end
to the cheap winter break for many.
The budget airline is to axe one in seven of its winter flights from
Stansted Airport, following rising fuel surcharges and fea ...

higher parking charges, with London coming up tops as the world's most
expensive city to park your car, according to a survey.
