Cheapest for roaming data?     Thu, 18 Sep 2008 19:53:42 +0100
I can't find a cheaper provider of a roaming data service than Virgin 0.5p per KB (although on their website they quote the price as 0.5p per Kb which is a bit scary). Are there any contract plans which provide cheaper roaming rates? Does anyone have a access to 3's special roaming charges available in some ...

Need a phone with decent calendar...     Thu, 18 Sep 2008 19:39:47 +0100
I'm looking at the Samsung F700 or similar, what I need is a simple(ish) PDA-style calendar display, with the week showing and text entries on each day for the appointments, rather than the coloured blocks etc. I want to have easy access to this view, rather than have to click through menus to see what I'm doing f ...

Getting HSDPA on Vodafone     Thu, 18 Sep 2008 14:28:06 +0100
If you have an HSDPA enabled handset, let's say N95 for example, can you get their Mobile Internet service and still use HSDPA (and use the phone as a modem etc) or do you *have* to sign up to Mobile Broadband and tell them you don't need the USB stick? Looks like you can just sign up to Mobile Internet just by ...

Shock horror...thinking of porting to 3 PAYG     Thu, 18 Sep 2008 10:41:28 +0100
Hi all, Just had the letter from Virgin regarding the increase to the minimum call charge to 15p, so I am looking at my options. I do have access to an old unlocked 3g handset, so I've been looking at 3 PAYG Flat 12 and I may even consider a 3 branded PAYG Nokia 6120 for it's data capabilities. This would ...

O2 PAYG - Being charged from "Free" Texts     Thu, 18 Sep 2008 05:55:28 +0100
I'm supposed to have at least 300 "Free" Texts a month as I have toped up with ¡ê10 on my PAYG SIM. I found out last night that I am now being charged for them. I can't check the O2's website as I keep getting the following error "We're sorry but this service is temporarily unavailable... We're sorry but we're ...

O2 website problems...?     Wed, 17 Sep 2008 17:08:26 +0100
Is anyone else getting this error with O2 "View my bill" "We're sorry but this service is temporarily unavailable... We're sorry but we're experiencing a few technical problems that we're currently investigating. Please come back and try again later." I've had this for the last two days. ...

Advice for the elderly     Wed, 17 Sep 2008 10:55:24 +0100
Hi, I wonder if anyone can offer some advice. My elderly father (87) and aunt(82) currently have cashback deals, co-ordinated by me. With cashbacks proving harder and harder to find - and with the net monthly cost of cashbacks rising from free to around ¡ê7.50 per month, I think that they should go for pay ...
