Using up QXdial minutes?
Mon, 31 Aug 2009 17:31:19 -0700 (PDT)
Since the change to 0870 numbers the 0870 qxdial number which I used
to use to access my accumulated minutes from my Orange phone no longer
works. So is there any way to use up those minutes, or have I lost
them? ...

Orange number porting
Mon, 31 Aug 2009 22:03:59 +0100
Anyone know if it's possible to obtain my number from Orange, but keep
the contract running with a different number, ported in or otherwise?
Perhaps I should have asked - Can I give Orange a PAC from another
network and retain the Orange number for use elsewhere?
In case anyone wants to know why, well, I h ...

unlock code from 3
Mon, 31 Aug 2009 12:35:39 GMT
Just called 3 cs to get my nec e313 unlocked (below) but as the sim
hadn't been used for over 6 months and had been deactivated they said
that they couldn't do it. I.e. they need an active sim. Is this science-
fact (perhaps for the method they use) or just 3 policy?
Further to my previous post, does anyone kn ...

Remember the NEC e313?
Sun, 30 Aug 2009 18:08:09 GMT
Yes, I was one of the unfortunates to purchase this phone, having then
not learnt that buying a decent phone first time round is the real
answer. Anyway, I just found it in my garage and, embarrassingly, I want
to unlock it and use it again! I guess the cheapskateness and the faddy
novelty are things that neve ...

Motorola V3i with Tesco SIM
Sun, 30 Aug 2009 17:47:14 +0100
I have an unlocked Motorola V3i with a Tesco PAYG SIM. I have used the Tesco
webpage to download their software but don't seem able to send any pictures
I have taken.
Similarly, if someone sends me a picture it will not download. I was under
the impression that the V3i should do all this.
Do I have to do s ...

3 - Fallback to Orange 2G
Sun, 30 Aug 2009 08:09:39 -0700 (PDT)
Been giving my 3 PAYG SIMs a try this afternoon and have noticed that
neither of them will drop a call back to 2G when the 3G network is out
of range.
Where I live there is marginal 3 coverage and full Orange 2G
coverage. I expected the call to pass from 3's 3G to Orange's 2G
seamlessly but on my Motorola V3x, ...

O2: What does "unlimited internet" mean?
Sun, 30 Aug 2009 12:02:05 +0100
Because I cannot get a signal from my home, I'm about to switch from
Orange to O2, and have obtained a PAC code. Initially at least, I
intend to use PAYG plus the ¡ê7.50/month 'Bolt-On' for unlimited web
connection. But on the O2 web page I read the following:
"The O2 Web Bolt On can only be used for web browsing ...
