Broadband problem ? can access via wi-fi but not via cable.

Some friends of mine have a problem with their broadband (ADSL). They
have two desktop computers and a laptop. The main desktop is connected
to the wirleless modem/router via a Cat 5 UTP cable.
The second desktop used to connect to the internet via wi-fi using a
USB dongle but this was not very reliable so I fit ...

USB adsl modem

Hi
I'm trying to find a USB ADSL modem to have as a backup should my router
fail. However, every one I've been able to Google so far has indicated use
in XP and below, nothing for Vista and Win 7. I seem to recall that when
Vista came out, most of these devices wouldn't work.
Any recommendations please?

This has been a bit weird for some time.
I have a Panasoniuc analogue PABX, and it feeds currently, three lines.
Two BT, one VOIP via my interesting new router.
Now of the two actual BT lines, both have ADSL on them, and when I
connect the routers, no matter which filter I use I get both a low level

OK what recommendations do you people have for a business grade broadband
(8MBit/sec download, 500kbits/sec or better upload, static IP, uncapped or
50GB/month) service in the centre of Norwich that does not rely in any way
whatever on BT?
