Poor Tiscali Speeds

Hi, im wondering if anyone could please help me out!!
I have been with tiscali since February this year. upto mid April, i
was getting speeds of 3 - 3.5 mb, and i was happy.
However, since mid April, my connection speed has dropped to 1mb!!
I have spoken with Tiscali's alleged Tech team who advised 1mb is no ...

Orange Livebox

I'm thinking of switching to Orange and using their Livebox. Trouble
is it only has 2 ethernet ports and my current set up has 4... all of
which are in use. Is there any way round this?

Asking on behalf of a colleague, not entirely sure how you'd need to
go about this :-}
He's got an xbox360 in his conservatory, and wants to connect
wirelessly to the internet to do the online stuff. The router would be
elsewhere in the house (as always happens...)
Circumstances would appear to negate his ...

(RangeMax)
DG834PN Wireless Modem Router.
I've read the reviews on Amazon.co.uk
Some say they've had problems with it including dropped connections while
others say that
it's a great piece of kit and they've had no problems ...

I have recently intsalled one - wnet fine without even installing any
of their software from the CD. I don't know much about these things
but are their configuration changes from the default that I should
make to improve security? I have a PC running XP withan ethernet
connection to the Hub.
