The air frost that isn't!     30 Nov 2009 21:16:58 GMT
The temperature here fell below zero at 2100z, giving us the first air frost of the season. Nevertheless, as discussed earlier today in another thread, the quirks of the convention used for reporting mean that November will go into the records as having no air frosts. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 3 ...

Your rain     Mon, 30 Nov 2009 20:39:47 -0000
hi Ron, interestingly - your trends graph shows 24mm for yesterday not the 36mm showing now for yesterday. This makes me think that the gauge is ok and the program has a corruption. Perhaps installing the latest version (of the Mk1) might help. DOn't forget to check out that date. DAve ...

A postcard from Zurich     Mon, 30 Nov 2009 08:04:46 -0800 (PST)
First snows falling here, so I've timed my stay here quite well. http://tinyurl.com/yk9n2s9 Off to Innsbruck tomorrow and then down to Munich on Wednesday - looks like I've timed it very nicely for a long slow train ride through the Alps! If the snow won't come to Dixon, Dixon will go to the snow.... Ric ...

East Dorset rainfall etc.     Mon, 30 Nov 2009 13:27:00 -0000
... in another thread Hugh (Evershot) was wondering about my rainfall total for the month, and I have had a reminder (off list) that we need to clarify which recording period is being used for rainfall returns, given that some interesting totals are going to pop up for November 2009. I use the 'standard' cl ...
