The air frost that isn't!

The temperature here fell below zero at 2100z, giving us the first air frost of
the season. Nevertheless, as discussed earlier today in another thread, the
quirks of the convention used for reporting mean that November will go into the
records as having no air frosts.

hi Ron,
interestingly - your trends graph shows 24mm for yesterday not the
36mm showing now for yesterday. This makes me think that the gauge is ok and
the program has a corruption. Perhaps installing the latest version (of the
Mk1) might help. DOn't forget to check out that date.

Warm Autumn!

2nd warmest Autumn on record here (1960-2009), behind 2006, oh dear we all
know what happened in Winter 2007:)
Had a few light sleet & snow showers early on so November did see some white
stuff on the final day, no air frost as yet though.
Only 2 Autumns here without an air frost since 1960 they are 1984 & 2 ...

That 12Z GFS wants to give us winter1962/3 running up to Chrsitmas, surely
that'll be gone on the 18z tonight? Hmmm lets see what the 12ZECM M has to
say. That 12Z makes wonderfull viewing though, I hear theres a new band
called the Beatles doing well in Liverpool?

The last 2 days have produced almost 40mm of rain here, which has swelled
November's total to 169.0mm.
This is the wettest November in my rainfall record which started in 1970.
The previous contenders for the title were:-

Rain started here Saturday @1800 and finally seems to have been chased away
to France. Total of 51.9mm from this event making a total of 150.8mm (252%)
for November - wettest November in my record here which began in 1979.
