Very gloomy and murky, house lights on most of afternoon. Continuous rain
and drizzle, but heavy stuff has eased now.
Temperature 13.2C which is the highest so far today!
5.2 deg C below normal for time of year.
Ground saturated and grass squelchy.
Not good for the tourists who are camping :-)

Reading the comments on here I have to agree that the last two years summers
haven't been brilliant. Nevertheless, even today has reached 22.5C, despite
being cloudy with just a few sunny periods. Before the last decade I used to
have a yardstick of anything above 70F being decent holiday weather.

Widespread flooding reported across Ireland today. Reports from the AA
Roadwatch sight http://www.aaroadwatch.ie/ tell of delays on many major
roads due to flooding.
Additionally there was an incident on the Dublin to Cork railway line where

definitely say that the weather is atrocious again today. I was becoming
worried though, after 7 hours of sunshine yesterday that we may have been
heading for a drought. Vastly relieved this morning to see the horizontal
