NGC 5541 in Bootes is just one of the lesser known but very attractive
objects that are well worth amateur astronomers? time. Not least
because a supernova has been found here and you never know when
another will appear!

Not a lot of time to process the data set today so I'll put this wip
out first. The seeing was fairly steady last night from my location on
the UK's south coast. Here's the first quick process from the data set
put together last night when I should have gone to bed zzz.

In the article on the "Identification of the Rosino-Guzzi Variables in
Sagitta" by Brian Skiff he states "? MX Sge must be considered lost
for now."
This animation (120s in IR and V band) was taken on 2007-10-14 with a

NGC 2070, better known as the Tarantula Nebula, was discovered by
Louis de Lacaille in 1751 and recognised as a nebula by Abbe Lacaille

M45: Strange halo around bright star

Hello,
I recently shot M45 with my Canon Rebel and my newly acquired
150mm/750mm Newton telescope. I attached the resulting image which is
the sum of 20 5-minute exposures.
