JavaScript for Equinox date/times?

Does anyone here have or know of JavaScript for calculating the UTC
dates and times of Vernal Equinoxes?
FYI, news from South Africa is that their satellite
will soon be launched from a submarine at Baikonur.

Question about the Pleiades

Hi all,
on Sunday night I was observing from a very dark site (just outside the
village of Kielder in Northumberland).
The sky was so clear I was sure that I could see, with my unaided eyes, some
20+ stars (possibly as many as 30), in the Pleiades cluster.
Seems that this may be a good judge of limiting m ...

I am just getting back into astronomy after yrs away from it. Can anybody
recommend a link or publication that will tell teach me the basics of using
filters for observing and for use with basic astrophotgraphy.

this is a new shot in Halpha from Rome (Italy). The instrument
is refractor Pentax SDUF II 400/4 + ccd Sbig ST-10XME +
filter H-alpha. The exposure is 7x1800s (tot: 3,5h).

BAA Handbooks 1987-2006

I have all British Astronomical Association Handbooks from 1987 to 2006,
all in excellent shape though one has a bit of staining from spilt tea!
