new DWP guidance on switching from old-style HB to LHA
Mon, 23 Jun 2008 21:28:35 +0100
The HB regs don't allow a person to voluntarily terminate their HB claim
in order to make a new claim and thus switch to the new LHA rates.
However, after a lengthy and complicated debate amongst LAs, the DWP has
issued new guidance that certain commisioners decisions apply, and that
claimants can withdraw th ...

Mon, 23 Jun 2008 02:54:32 +0100
Not sure if this comes in the remit of this group, but don't know where else
to post.
For the past three years, I have applied for, and been granted, an exemption
certificate entitling me to free prescrisptions, glasses, and dental
treatment etc.
I re-applied as usual, but was shocked to find I have only been ...

Education

Not sure this is going to be exactly the right place to ask this. I
have been on the dole recently anyway.
Basically I'm going to get some more qualifications so I can get a
better job - and to be honest, have more stable employment.
I already have an NVQ in Engineering - but to cut a long story short,
I wa ...

a VDU, that I've been entitled to Incap ...

Recently I have been assigned to a personal advisor who have been
pressurizing me to do voluntary work. I am not interested in doing
woluntary work and know that I cannot be forced to do it, but for some
reason my advisor is doing the "hard sell ...

Silence - update
Tue, 17 Jun 2008 10:46:57 +0100
Hi,
For those interested:
I sent a complaint on 5th March - that still has to be replied to.
I sent 21 compaints on 1st May - I received that reply last week. It is
very superficial, containing inconsistencies; claims of non-receipts / no
trace of letters; full of unaccountable delays in receiving letters.

back after a medical by the Benefit's Agency doctor to the applicant's
GP?
I'm wondering how extensive it is and how much it covers.
Is there an official name for this report and are there any examples on
the Net?
Thank you for any inf ...

So far I've not had anything back, not evan a acknowledgement letter saying
they've got the form and are processing it.
How long should I leave it before I call them on
