CS1: The other side of the fence...     Mon, 09 Jun 2008 11:19:59 +0100
Hi, I have a friend (really I do!) and she is on CS1 and the father pays for 2 children. She is currently on benefits. Am I right in thinking that she is entitled to the first ¡ê10 p/w of his payments with the Treasury getting to keep the rest? (Or is she entitled to nothing at all from his payments?) Thanks. ...

I am on the old system. I have been paying the CSA for several years and my annual statement always said amount owing ¡êo (i.e. No arrears). I have now reached the end of my sentence and mysteriously ¡ê2132 have appeared on my accout. It seems that long ago when you could have all your arrears bar six months wa ...

CS2     Fri, 30 May 2008 13:01:39 +0100
Hi all, I'm woefully out of touch with the way in CS2 now operates and after a short spell unemployed and then self-employed I'm considering taking up a permanent position, subject to a final offer. I'm responsible for paying for a single child on CS2 which IIRC is levied at 15% of net earnings, subject to allo ...

Sexist CSA     Wed, 7 May 2008 16:27:56 +0100
Last May my daughter (16) came to live with me. Because I had been assessed for the two them living with her, I phoned and asked for a re- assessment. Was told this not possible for 6 months. Said, OK, I want to claim against her for the 16yo. Was asked if I was in receipt of Child Benefit? No, not yet. Oh well ...

Re: loan from a friend     Fri, 02 May 2008 19:34:32 GMT
Better advice is to get a small tape record and tell who ever phones up that you are recording the conversation, every single one I have had has hung up immediately. Apparently my file is marked as a problem client. Jon "mike0012" <gpete995@yahoo.co.uk> wrote in message news:44a70bba-91d7-4a7b-ab9b-9c9a1d718 ...

Re: Company car?     Fri, 02 May 2008 19:32:24 GMT
The CSA take the money after tax in theory the car reduces you allowances, so your partner will be K coded. This can work big time in your favour, if you tell the IR you have a much more expensive/gas guzzling car than you really do. They will set your tax rate too high, the CSA will calculate after tax. But a ...
