Fri, 15 Aug 2008 19:04:08 +0100
I've got a Bissell Powerwash Prowash 1698 upright carpet
cleaner(cleaning liquid goes in separate compartment), Works great. The
only downside is the cleaning liquid at ¡ê15 per bottle.
Do i really need to use this, or is there another alternative , and if
so is it as good/ will it damage the cleaner
Thanks ...

Masonary painting
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 18:38:26 +0100
We are having the outside of the Church painted (not too sure I am
impressed) but as part of the specification we asked (on the advice of a
builder) for the old painted render to be cleaned down to remove all
visible traces of algae, etc. and then a suitable fungicide to be
applied before the paint.
I got back ...

Correcting temp control on fridge/freezer
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 18:05:57 +0100
We have an AEG fridge/freezer combination with Santo 'fuzzy logic'
temperature control. It has controls on the front for adjusting the
fridge and freezer temperatures, with a digital readout giving the set
and actual temperatures. I had reason to measure the fridge
temperature recently, and found it much higher th ...

Electrical inspection certificate technical question
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 09:05:46 -0700 (PDT)
My domestic test report schedule has Z (e) at origin of 0.17 ohms.
For one of the circuits continuity R2 ohms is 0.66 and Earth Loop
impedence Z (s) is 1.31.
Another electrician says that there should be a relationship where
the 1.31 number minus the 0.17 number should give the 0.66 result -
but this equation ...

What is the new "thing" down this hole?
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 14:13:46 GMT
Looking down a recent hole-in-the-pavement in its maturing phase (left to its
own devices for a week), found they had removed a chunk of what I think is the
water main and added a "stopcock".
But they also fitted a bypass with an intricate-looking thing in the middle.
Anyone know what it is?

still working, but noisy. No warranty still applies.
Having removed the old pump, I can see that water has leaked around
where the motor spindle enters t ...
