Aqualisa mixer replacement cartridge, 600 ?
Tue, 3 Nov 2009 14:29:57 -0800 (PST)
Hi All,
I thought my Aqualisa mixer was the 600 model (it was here when I
moved in in 1993), the parts look similar to the ones on the Aqualisa
web site - *but* the cartridge I have taken out doesn't look like the
ones offered for replacement.
The original one is white and grey with some brass parts to it - t ...

Bosch WFK2801 Washing Machine Error Code 06 no action
Tue, 3 Nov 2009 13:36:29 -0800 (PST)
I have a Bosch WFK2801 front loading washing machine.
The unit is currently refusing to do anything (pump, spin, fill) just
flashing up error code 06, along with the first 2 LEDs after around
30s of power up.
I *think* error 06 is a door lock problem.
When I apply power I can hear a click and the relay is en ...

Floorboards vs New Wooden Floor
Tue, 3 Nov 2009 12:27:23 -0800 (PST)
I've been wondering about having an oak floor through the d/room, hall
and l/room.
The problems I can see are:
* Access to a burst pipe would surely be a nightmare. I have seen
individual planks replaced by cutting the original out with a circular
saw but knowing my luck with houses, there probably would be l ...

Planning to fit a laminate floor and need to laminate the bottom step

How to finish the edge of the step where horizontal tread meets the
lower vertical riser (i.e. the external corner)??
Seem some edging profiles of various sorts but they are a) expensive,

Old LaserJet 5 with paper jam

I currently have an old LaserJet 5 printer - bought it off ebay for
about ¡ê35 delivered a few months ago and have been delighted with it
(not least of which because I can get original HP toner carts for it via
the same route for a tenner - many thousands of sheets of paper later
and I'm still on the first cart ...
