I want to convert these to 70W metal halide with dawn/dusk sensors.

Any suggestions please where I can get all the control gear and oth ...

Old brick wall - lime or cement mortar?
Sun, 6 Jul 2008 16:00:07 +0100
I've got to repair a brick wall between 2 terraced houses. The top 5
courses will be taken off and rebuilt, as they are so wobbly, the bottom
half seems solid enough so will be repointed.
It is probably 120 years old, and has been repointed at least once in
the past.
Is it worthwhile doing it in lime mortar, or j ...

plastic stopcocks on 25mm MDPE
Sun, 6 Jul 2008 07:22:26 -0700 (PDT)
I've had 2 of the plastic stopcocks fail. I'm using them on exposed
MDPE pipe whilst I build my extension, so they are in a dusty
environment. One for the current house supply and one tee'd off for
site water with a hose on the end of it.
They have both failed to turn the water off when done up tight after
on-off ...

HP6 dispenser drawer
Sun, 06 Jul 2008 13:07:14 GMT
The spring that keeps the flap on the front of my Hoover washing machine HP6
dispenser drawer closed came off and no matter what I try I cannot get it to
stay on. Could someone post a link or a picture of the inside of the drawer
so I can see how it fits on?
Thanks, Ron

'Bricky' bricklaying aid.
Sun, 6 Jul 2008 12:33:25 +0100
This looks amazingly convincing but then again it is an advert.
"You've got nothing to lose with the 30 day return if you are not 100%
happy".
This falls apart when you read the returns policy. i.e., Must be returned
in all packaging and unused.
Would appreciate comment from anyone who has used th ...

White picket fences...
Sun, 6 Jul 2008 12:14:20 +0100
It seems that any US TVprog/film outside city centres, features mile upon
mile of white picket fence, and from what I recall, always has done.
How did 'cowboys' find time to make and paint these fences, and round up the
cows as well? Or are these just figments of the 'Hollywood' imagination?
