Don't try this at home!
Thu, 19 Nov 2009 09:51:46 -0800 (PST)
I received one of the shower flow reducers free from Eaga discussed
sometime ago in this group. Sent for so long ago that I had forgotten
about it.
I duly fitted it to save the planet and sure enough it reduced the
flow.
I should add at this point that I have a shower pump fitted (silly I
know).
Well the ...

least 20% more economica ...

Glow plug module failure
Thu, 19 Nov 2009 07:18:29 -0800 (PST)
Hi there,
My rather obscure 4wd - Tata, has a little printed circuit board that
feeds 12 volts to the Glow plugs, via a heavy duty relay that used to
come on for about 10 seconds, when the ignition was turned on, before
operating the starter. This has packed up and now the relay - which
is OK is not coming in. ...

Fixing fairy lights
Thu, 19 Nov 2009 10:46:20 +0000
The project is fixing fairy lights to a traditional stone outbuilding.
The idea is to light all the edges of the walls and roof, producing a
lit outline. About 60 metres of lighting all told. This will be a semi-
permanent installation.

Wed, 18 Nov 2009 21:01:39 -0000
Hi all,
I am planning on having an electric shower fitted over a bath.
As this is an Housing Association flat I am not allowed to do it myself, and
since I know nothing about the electric requirements, have found a
plumber/electrician to do the work.
He is agreeable to me doing the tiling on the walls, ...

Black PVC Cable?
Wed, 18 Nov 2009 11:30:10 -0800 (PST)
Was there ever a black PVC 7/.029 cable made. My son has bought a
house (probably 60s) which has black cable for the ring main. The
insulation on the cable appears to be normal, and is Red /Black with
uninsulated earth as usual, but this black outer seems to "pull off"
the conductors easier than PVC does when strip ...

Way OT - genealogy software
Wed, 18 Nov 2009 18:02:46 +0000
I know there are zillions of web sites/packages for genealogy tree
building but I wonder if there is anyone here who is actually using a
(shareware) genealogy program themselves? I've come across some old
letters that mention family history and thought it'd be fun to
research it a little :-)
All the advertised it ...
