"Printing" Houses
Tue, 2 Sep 2008 11:26:52 +0100
Imagine...one day you will be able to rent a machine to print yourself a
building out of concrete.

Fantasy or not?
For me it conjours up visions of Prof. Denzil Dexter in The Fast Show.

Blocking / capping off toilet
Mon, 01 Sep 2008 17:43:59 -0500
I'm in the process of removing an old outside toilet. After removing the
toilet should it be OK to just blocking the hole underneath part of a patio

The bricks (2 layers) would prevent any rats etc leaving the sewer. If the
sewer chambe ...

Mon, 1 Sep 2008 19:13:29 +0100
Hi, all.
I wish to bring a cable ( cat6 ethernet ) in through through the
plasterboard, to plug into a wall-mounted Wireless Access Point. I'd like
to minimise the visual impact, so I don't want to have a faceplate and patch
lead, which would be near as big as the WAP itself. So I'm looking at
simply br ...

Inverters & battery chargers
Mon, 01 Sep 2008 17:39:00 GMT
I'm trying out a 120w inverter in the van, the idea being to charge drill
batteries on the move.
The charger is a Makita 7.2 to 14.4v 30 minute jobby. Problem is I rarely
drive for more than about 15 mins from job to job.
I understand that the Makita charger is 'intelligent' in that it will cope
with part ...
