Sheffield Pubs

Does anyone know how the well known sheffield pubs Fat Cat, Kelhan Island
Tavern, Hillsborough, etc fared during the recent flooding.
I saw that Sheffield Wednesday had been flooded on the television and the
Kelham Island ones are quite low lying.
Anybody got any idea?

Informed rumour has it that Osset Brewery have bought Wakefield's
Fernandes brewery.
Talking to an reliable source in an Ossett pub in Huddersfield, it
appears that brewing will continue at Wakefield and that there will be
little change at the brewery tap.

reports as follows:
A little-known pubco has bought Walsall?s historic Highgate Brewery.
Global Star, which operates around 100 pubs in the West Midlands, paid
an undisclosed sum to Aston Manor Brewery ? the owner of Highgate.

It's about time our politicians grasped the nettle and
started a further legal incursion into alcohol consumption.
Alcohol related illnesses are becoming a greater drain
on resources than smoking related conditions. We could
start controlling the amount and strength of alcoholic drink
which can be sold to individ ...
