British Beweries history
Thu, 25 Oct 2007 08:49:21 -0700
Hi all.
Does anyone know of a good source for detailed history of brewing in
the UK?
I am particularly interested in finding out as much as possible about
two specific, small local breweries that existed in Victorian times.
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Dave

Kent pub report
Sun, 21 Oct 2007 20:45:57 GMT
On a rare country outing we were on our way to another GBG pub when I
almost drove past the Halfway House in Brenchley - what a great place.
All beers gravity dispensed, and the local Goachers Fine Light was
superb. Food good too. Living in central London it's easy to forget how
it's done right.

after all.

But then, we all knew that didn't we?
How many more of these "experts" reports are similarly dreamt up?
Well, at least the "Middle Class alcoholics" ...

for good PR!

Pub Grub

It confirms what I have believed recently.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7046664.stm
It doesn't cost much more to eat in a proper restaurant these days and
probably represents better value for money.
Pubs are pretending to be restaurants these days, which they are not. ...
