Heavy Woollen District (W.Yorks) pub beer festivals

There are three pub-based beer festivals in Heavy Woollen district in the
next month.
Sat. 30th May - Sun 31st May - Black Bull, Birstall
The Black Bull are holding their first charity beer festival in association
with the Round Table and Brass Monkey Brewery.
Please note times - Saturday 12-9 and Sunday 12 ...

Huddersfield - Beer Capital of the UK?

Planning a jaunt across the Pennines to Huddersfield on Saturday and
it's got me thinking.
Are there any towns in the UK with a greater choice of beer within
such a small area?
In no particular order, Ian Hayes up at the Grove has 18 different
beers, Bruce Travis at the Kings Head on Huddersfield railway stat ...

Barrow Hill Beer Festival

Just a reminder that it's the Barrow Hill Beer Festival on Friday and
Saturday (15th / 16th May).
The setting - in an old railway round house - is one of the better
venues, surrounded, as you are, by steam engines (some actually in
steam) and other relics of that era.
